Understanding HTML

WWWc also known as the World Wide Web Consortium is responsible for defining the web standards. HTML is also and output of this standardization in the web world.

HTML is not a programming language, it is rather a markup language used to actually give a web page its structure. HTML is used in combination with CSS to give a stable structure to a web page.

HTML uses the tag concept. All the contents that are supposed to be in structured usually come between the tags.
